Singapore!

sunny 31 °C

Well, my migraine eventually passed and I reckon it was easily the worst iv'e ever experienced!!
The flight to Singapore was uneventful and passed really quickly, with both of us buried in books at the moment that are making us laugh out loud. Theyre buy a guy called Irvine Welsh who wrote trainspotting - we'd reccommend them to everyone!
Anyway, Singapore is absolutely brilliant, if a little humid. Everything is unbelievably clean and efficient and largely air conditioned.
We got an excellent hotel room in a backpackers place - it's a little small but really clean, with air conditioning, balcony and a super comfy bed - with a proper duvet!! A real luxury. The room looks like something out of an ikea brochure!
Yesterday we spent wandering around the hundreds (literally) of shopping malls - even the smallest of which is massive compared to Princes Quay!!
Today we've been to Singapore zoo which was pretty cool. The animals all seem pretty happy which was something I was worried about.
Last night we went to Raffles and had the obligatory Singapore Sling which we have to say were excellent! (If a tad over priced)
Tomorrow we head to Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia on bus which should be cool.
Sorry the entries a bit quick today - the meter on this web session is ticking down quickly.
Hope you all like the photos. If you haven't checked them yet, then what have you been playing at?!
Love to all,
Rich and Sho

Hi you two, glad to hear you're back in the land of the living Rich, I was with you for that migraine!! However, your recovery must be due to the loving care you received from Sho, what a star!
So pleased to hear that Singapore is all that you'd hoped for, luxury compared to India I bet!
Was chuffed to see some more photos, really good ones too. You're both looking incredibly chilled and thoroughly relaxed, we're all hugely envious!
Less than 2 weeks now until our holiday & the small bed resembles a jumble sale with various items of clothing draped over it, can't quite decide what to take yet!
Bert & Averil arrived at your Nan's today so she'll enjoy their company. Hope the weather remains good so that they can get out & about a little.
The parcel hasn't arrived yet but i'll let you know when it does. Dad sends his love, he's just taken his mate for a run up the track, I don't know who enjoys it the most. Ruby is meanwhile snoozing happily on our bed, she does just as she likes!!!
Did you get the photos that James emailed you? There was a nice one in there of Ruby, plus Max of course!!
Well take care both of you, give us a call if you get the chance & enjoy Malaysia,
Love to you both xxxxxxxxx

Hi, you two.
Pictures are great Rich looks even more handsome with the beard. You both look well. The mule trail is a good one.

Great to hear that Rich recovered. Was worried when we read the diary. Rang Julie and she put our minds at rest - because I had forgotten that Rich sometimes had migranes. It must have been bad - I have never had one so can only imagine. But Aliaon and Daryl were badly affected for years.

Great that you made it to civilisation. The zoo is good and I hope that you had something spectacularly unsual in the bus station cafe as we did last time do you remember, but I suppose after India Singapores cusine would be tame.

We are off to Colonsay on Monday and am ready packing and making arrangements. Candy has gone to Burts. Nellika & Family are looking after hens and horses so all should be well.

Andrea & Stephen are joining us on the Wed. or Thursday which will be nice.

We are detouring to Perth on the way as looking at Hebredean sheep. We were at a breeders yesterday on the way to grandads. We were very impressed with theirs and its nice to have a respected breeder nearby to keep us right with what to look for when starting a foundation flock.

Dave us changing a u.j. on the Landrover today. Good news on the walling front. The BCTV man says only £15.00 per meter. Great.

You may not hear from us for a while as may not have time to get to the communal colonsay computer so look after yourselves.

Love mum and dave.xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Heya!

Glad ur better now Rich, so far we've both been really lucky (touch wood) and neither of us have been ill, apart from we've both had a little trouble with our ears, they popped really badly on the flight to Bali, and have'nt quite been the same since so as we sit at the restaurant on a night we shout sweet nothings to each other, haha! Glad you went to the zoo, we really enjoyed it. I know wot u mean about the cleanliness of singapore, we didn't see a single piece of litter while we were there, everything was so clean n tidy, they even spend time planting exotic plants down the motorway! The airconditioning is so cold in the shoppin malls John managed to catch a bit of the sniffles from going in and out of the cold all day! Love the photos, we'll have to send you some of ours, have fun in Malaysia, lots of love Nik x x x x

you rafting experience sounded like the scaryest thing ever, i wouldn't have been able to cope with that at all - you know i'm rubbish in scary situations, remember when you fell of Red when you brought her to the stables on causey hill? I totally paniked!!

I'm glad to her that your better Rich, sounds like a pretty rough time, i did like the sound of the head message tho- did it help??

Now sindapore sounds like my kinda place with millions and billions of shops!! i hope you did fritter away too much money, although i know shonah doesn't need an awful lot of persuasian when it comes to shopping.

I haven't looked at your pictures yet but i'm going to do that now so i'll let you know what i thing of them next time i'm on, i'm sure it will be pure jealousy that i feel!!

Take care, love you both.
